In this first Presentation in the Series, we will introduce several aspects of GST/HST obligations and entitlements for Charities and Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs). We will lay the foundation about important concepts, for more detailed learning in subsequent Presentations in the Series. You will hear directly from CRA’s Headquarters employee who has 35 years experience in GST/HST programs.

This Presentation will introduce key GST/HST differences between these two different legal entities. We will review information about taxable versus exempt supplies, rebates, credits, and more. We will examine important concepts and review some of the most impacting rules, to help better manage GST/HST issues on a going forward basis.
